St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, organizer for the event, coordinates the booths with artisans and craftsmen from all around the Hill Country to sell their unique, hand-crafted items.

Strolling down several blocks of Mercer Street one will find all kinds of fantastic things to bring home.  Look for unique clothing, hand-made items, furniture, birdhouses, custom made jewelry and crafts for the kids to do.  Meet local merchants as they welcome you into their downtown shops.

In addition to the craft vendors, booths are also offered to many non-profit organizations such as Friends of the Pound House, local Scouting and Veterans groups,  PAWS, Gabriel Project, Hays County Sheriff, Crime Stoppers, Circle of Friends, CASA, and Relay for Life.  These non-profit organizations have their own fund raising ideas to help support their yearly expenditures.  So, come build a bird house.  Buy a raffle ticket.  Adopt a dog. And support your local charitable groups.

The funds raised by St. Martins, from renting these booths, charitably benefit hundreds of people from Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Blanco, and Johnson City with their utilities, rent, and medicine during the year.  These funds are also used to help support the food pantry that spends over $6,000 a year helping families throughout this area.

With over 4000 people expected at the Founders Day Festival event, businesses now have a great opportunity to meet the public. The DS Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring business booths available at $75 before April 1 and $85 after April 1.  35 booths will be on a first come, first serve basis. What a great way to greet your customers, extend goodwill, donate to the community, network with other businesses and communicate first-hand your products or services.
